The Denmark-based Ida Institute has been the leading light in developing and promoting person-centered hearing care in across the global community of hearing care. Its existence has finally been ended by its funder since 2007, Demant.

Demant announced in October that it is finally winding up the Ida Institute brand and Ida Learning Hall. The pioneering Institute founded in 2007 with Demant funding, inspired and guided the person-centered care approach in hearing which, says the Danish tech manufacturer, "will be fully integrated into the Group's hearing aid brand activities". The Ida Institute Learning Hall will remain available until end of January 2025. All courses will be accessible with the exception of the 'Inspired by Ida' courses. And clinics can keep displaying their Ida badge.
