Starkey sweeps awards from UK's independent professionals
A prestigious Manufacturer of the Year recognition was one of seven Golden Lobe awards scooped by the US manufacturer Starkey Hearing Technologies at this year's AIHHP (Association of Independent Heraring Healthcare Professionals) annual Expo and Gala dinner.
The Minnesota-based producer also won in the following categories: Budget Hearing System of the Year for Starkey Evolv AI 1200; Best Rechargeable Hearing System of the Year; Best Manufacturer Customer Service of the Year; Best Manufacturer Technical Support of the Year; Best Marketing support to AIHHP members; and Best Custom Build Manufacturer of the Year.
Widex also triumph with four AIHHP accolades
Voted for by AIHHP members, the Golden Lobe awards are now in their 15th year. The other big winner in 2022 was WS Audiology’s WIDEX brand, which picked up: Primary Hearing System of the Year for WIDEX MOMENT 220; Mid-Level Hearing System of the Year for WIDEX MOMENT 330; Stand-out Individual – NON-SALES of the Year to Catherine Jones (Highly Commended: Katie Ogden, GN Hearing; and Tracey Wilkinson, Unitron). Also for WIDEX, Paul Leeming, National Training Manager and Territory Sales Manager, received a Highly Recommended in Stand-out Individual – SALES of the Year, a category won by Katie Guinan, GN Hearing (also Highly Recommended: James Cooney, Unitron.

Premium Hearing System of the Year: PHONAK AUDEO LUMITY 90; Best Hearing Device App of the Year: RESOUND; Consumables / Equipment Provider of the Year: PURETONE; The AIHHP Recognition Award for Outstanding Services to Audiology: Reverend Professor David Baguley (awarded posthumously).
