Specsavers Professional Advancement Conference

The conference supports learning and development of clinicians within Specsavers and the wider audiology industry – and returns to the ICC in Birmingham on Sunday 16 October.

It is open to all within the industry – plus this year, to support with ongoing CPD, Specsavers has launched its monthly PAC webinars.

Our most recent webinar focused on artificial intelligence within audiology by Jessica Monaghan, senior researcher from the National Acoustic Laboratories – with more exciting topics to come. More than 100 delegates have signed up to each monthly session.

Register for future webinars here.

BSHAA Training

BSHAA’s first conference and exhibition since the pandemic is designed to be different from any of our previous events – less formal and more social. It will be a great opportunity to celebrate and thank private sector audiologists, who continued providing safe and important care throughout the Covid disruption. The profession has emerged stronger and is busier than ever.

As well as valuable CPD, the conference will provide a great opportunity to renew networks.

As a one-off, BSHAA will be subsidising the evening dinner to allow members and friends to enjoy both the social and business of our profession.

The event is at the Hilton Doubletree in Oxford and will open with welcome drinks and canapes on Friday September 16 at 8pm, followed by an inspiring programme and exhibition on Saturday September 17, concluding with the evening event from 7pm.

To book your place register here.

BAA Complex Paediatric Day

Following the focus on paediatric audiology this year, the BAA concludes the year with a Complex Paediatric Day on November 3 in Nottingham. The team from TTS group, who supported the BAA conference last year in the Autism room, together with the NHS teams from Guys and St. Thomas’ and Nottingham, are collaborating to set the agenda.

The day will consist of lectures and opportunities for practical workshops covering the assessment of complex children, and how the resources shared by the TTS group can be used in clinic to support you and your patients.

The day will be free to BAA members.

Save the date, registration will open in August here.
