International training week at prestigious Lübeck centre moves back to summer in 2022
training
The respected International Summer Academy (ISA) at the Campus Hearing Acoustics in Lübeck, Germany returns to an August date this year after being pushed back to October in 2021 to allow some Covid latitude for travellers.
Last year, 20 attendees came from ten different countries as the training week was shifted from summer to October. But in 2022, the Academy of Hearing Acoustics will offer two advanced training courses for international participants, the first returning to its traditional summer slot: August 15 to 20, 2022, a seminar week on the fitting of hearing systems; and from November 1 to 5, 2022, a paediatric acoustics course.
Practice-oriented training and exchange of knowledge
The summer seminar has been running for 12 years and has become an inherent part of the Sonova Group’s Swiss International Hearing Academy (SIHA). It has a strongly practical focus. Besides audiometry fundamentals and the essentials of hearing system fitting, the course covers the making of earmoulds and reviews case studies from the professional practice of hearing aid professionals focusing on the optimization of service and support. The facilities and equipment at the Campus Hearing Acoustics means participants can familiarise themselves with the latest technology and hearing systems from all manufacturers.
”We are happy to promote the international exchange of knowledge and experience beyond borders with the common goal to improve the care for people with hearing impairments worldwide“, said Jakob Stephan Baschab, Managing Director of BIHA (Federal Guild of Hearing Aid Professionals) and Director of the Academy of Hearing Acoustics.
