Madrid conference focus for audiology's growing entanglement with optics

The call is out from Madrid's foremost conference space, Ifema, the ExpoÓptica 2024 event, to take place April 12-14, and to include optics, eye fashion, optometry and audiology. This is the largest joint event for these sectors on the Iberian Peninsula.

Madrid conference focus for audiology’s growing entanglement with optics

The bumper Spanish business show comes at time of sectoral growth. According to Data from the DBK Informa Sector Observatory published by Modaengafas.com, the combined sectors – driven by optics – will close 2023 at a business volume of 2,640 million euros, which is up on the figure prior to the social and health crisis caused by Covid-19. And the expectation for 2024 is optimistic, since it is expected to reach the figure of 2.7 billion euros.

This coming ExpoÓptica fair, which has the support of its Organizing Committee and the General Council of the Spanish College of Opticians-Optometrists, will celebrate its 34th edition coinciding with OPTOM, International Congress of Optometry, Contactology and Ophthalmic Optics, now preparing its 28th annual gathering.

All the latest in optics and audiology

Expect the latest in content and trends in the optics, optometry and audiology industry. And eyewar fashion will again be strong, combining visual health and image in the same messages.

Audiology gets its own single-subject focus for the first time at the event, a move driven by the interest at last year’s show. The pulse of the hearing industry will be measurable through speeches and presentations, with a perspective on the future of audiology.

ExpoÓptica will run daily from 10:00 to 20:00, April 12 to 14, 2024 in pavilion 10 of the IFEMA Madrid Fairgrounds. For more information, and to exhibit, click here.
