New book on Sudden Hearing Loss targets clinicians as well as patients
Published by Johns Hopkins Press, the book describes the immediate emotional impact, the desperate search for answers, and the various paths to adaptation and recovery faced by those who suffer sudden hearing loss.

Pre-orders are now open for a new book on a serious medical condition that affects some 5-20 people in every 100,000 : Sudden Sensorineural Hearing Loss.
The book, Sudden Hearing Loss – Stories of Hope, Guidance, and Support has three authors; Carly Sygrove, Andrea Simonson, and Caroline Norman.
“Our connection comes from our shared experience of sudden hearing loss. Caroline, like me, experienced it firsthand, while for Andrea, it was her husband who had the loss,” says Carly Sygrove, announcing on LinkedIn that pre-orders can now be made for the book.
