Leightons extends successful course in softer skills for audiology professionals
An innovative programme focusing on improving patient care in adult audiology was rolled out internally last year by the UK optics and audiology business, Leightons. Now the group is running it again and looking to extend it to a bigger audience.

The UK independent family group Leightons has extended an audiology connection programme it began last year to enhance the emotional awareness and communication skills of audiologists.
The Empathic Consulting Course, developed exclusively by Leightons and The Hearing Care Partnership, aims ultimately at improving patient care, experience, and outcomes in adult audiology, firstly by helping to empower professionals. Focused on bridging the gap in traditional audiology education and training, it emphasises the skills essential for fostering meaningful patient relationships, says the group.
