Strong NHS figures in promising Q2 UK hearing instrument sales
Industry association optimistic about growth continuing throughout 2024
NHS hearing instrument sales were up 32% from Q2 2023, while rechargeble hearing aids continue to rise. There was a slight drop for private sales.
These stand-outs from the latest 2024 hearing technology market figures are the justification for continued optimism from the UK industry body BIHIMA, which keeps a careful watch on business in both the UK and the Republic of Ireland. The high Q2 sales to the NHS also showed a 3.6% increase over Q1 2024.

However, private product sales have declined 1.6% compared to Q2 2023, and 9.4%% on Q1 2024.
