Bayfields launches specialist tinnitus service
UK group with 50 centres says it is responding to uptick in number of people suffering from this condition
Bayfields Opticians and Audiologists has launched a specialist tinnitus service nationwide offering a free 15-minute tinnitus health check, and an invitation to those diagnosed with the condition to an in-depth 75 minute personalised examination.
The group, which has hearing services in some 50 centres nationwide, says it is responding to rising cases of tinnitus. The charity Tinnitus UK recently reported an increase in prevalence of the condition of 50% over the past 15 years.
Sarah Griffiths, Tinnitus Specialist Audiologist at Bayfields, comments: “We’re seeing a real increase in clients who are suffering with the effects of tinnitus in recent years, and it’s affecting people of all ages.
