The connectivity possibilities of hearing aids will be greatly boosted over the coming years by Auracast. This "next level", as GN Group's Principal Engineer Thomas Olsgaard calls it, is a Bluetooth LE-powered technology that will make streaming in meeting and teaching situations - and in public venues - a whole lot easier, smoother, and more ubiquitous.
GN released the first Auracast-ready hearing aid in Nexia, and now builds this new technology into its Vivia platform. It was an early move by GN but, as Olsgaard explained...
