COM-DEX Remote Mic introduced by Widex
A new assistive listening devicedesigned to help hearing aid wearers to hearspeech in the most difficult one-to-one situationshas been introduced by Widex.
The COM-DEX Remote Mic is an add-on tothe COM-DEX wireless Bluetooth accessoryDesigned for difficult one-to-one listeningsituations—such as noisy restaurants, classrooms,or group gatherings—the remote mic is clippedonto the speaker’s clothing and can be controlledvia the COM-DEX app. Sound is then streameddirectly to the wearer’s Widex hearing aids via theCOM-DEX.
According to Widex, the new remote mic offersup to 8 hours of streaming time, with a 33-footrange for easy conversation. Wireless connectionvia COM-DEX can be achieved to all Widex hearingaids, and an updated COM-DEX App for remotecontrol of the mic is now available. The remotedmic battery can be fully charged after 3 hours.
