Phonak celebrates the launch of “Belong” with over 560 guests
Launch
About 560 guests from 18 different countries accepted Phonak’s invitation for Friday, September 16 to join the manufacturer at the Grand Hotel Huis ter Duin in Amsterdam to celebrate the launch of "Belong".
This new platform offers users as well as hearing aid specialists multiple new possibilities. Above all, as emphasized by Martin Grieder, Group Vice President Hearing Instruments Marketing during the presentation, the aim is to make the user’s life easier. For instance, the Audéo B-R RIC hearing aid among others, also launched on Friday, uses lithium ion battery technology. As a result, switching batteries is now obsolete, says Phonak. In addition, the built-in batteries have a charge time of just 3 hours for 24 hours of power. This is the shortest charge time in the area of hearing system batteries, with the longest duration, Martin Grieder announced. Auto Sense OS has also been further optimized to “achieve unprecedented hearing performance.”
The invited speaker for the event was Bertrand Piccard. The Swiss psychiatrist, scientist and adventurer talked to the guests about how he flew around the world in several stages onboard the Solar Impulse, a plane he designed himself. Piccard certainly knows a lot about efficient use of energy!
Following the impressive presentation, live-streamed on Audiology Worldnews, during which a few hearing aid specialists who had already fitted the Audéo B-R spoke about their experience with the new hearing system and gave feedback from their clients, guests had the chance to find out more in the Hotel’s underground parking garage, converted into a market place for the occasion. After the dinner, the launch was celebrated in style until the early hours of the morning.
