RAYOVAC’S NEW SOUND FUSION BATTERIES ROLL OUT
Promising 19% more battery life and nine more hours of wireless streaming, new RAYOVAC battery technology announced at last September’s EUHA Congress is now shipping. The major battery producer - part of Energizer Holdings - is rolling out its Sound Fusion technology upgrade in size 312, 10, and 13 hearing aid batteries, with shipping underway to the company’s Pro Line and Extra customers as from June 1, 2022.
The imminent roll-out of Sound Fusion was marked by a visit to RAYOVAC’s UK hearing aid battery plant by Hearing Industries Association (HIA) President Kate Carr. Rayovac underlined its support for the HIA’s Hear Well public awareness campaign.
Sound Fusion batteries use a new manufacturing process, highly conductive fusion, that improves polymer networks to allow increased cathode connectivity and give the active ingredients more space to boost performance. “It has been years in development and we’re proud to say it offers our greatest leap forward in technology yet,” said Paula Brinson-Pyke, Director of Marketing at RAYOVAC.
“We are delighted to welcome HIA president Kate Carr to our manufacturing facility in Washington, UK to celebrate the first Sound Fusion Technology hearing aid batteries off the production line. The launch of our latest innovation underscores our commitment to continually improving and pushing the boundaries of primary battery technology for the benefit of our customers and the wider industry,”she added.
