EUHA 2024 programme now online – and it sparkles!
At 09:15 on Wednesday October 16, the new EUHA-Live Area will be buzzing with the opening ceremony of the world’s biggest audiology event, the (68th) International EUHA Congress. The audience members, brushing any remaining breakfast croissant crumbs from their lips, will also be permitted to relish the educational feast of the three days of lectures and tutorials their tickets entitle them to attend.
The programme for that enticing selection of presentations is now available here.
Within the framework of this year’s Congress focus on its partner country, Denmark, participants in the event(October 16 to 18 in Hanover) can look forward to an extensive programme of lectures on current topics in hearing aid acoustics and hearing system technology in four formats: a Knowledge Symposium, 26 expert lectures, five tutorials, and four Future Friday keynotes will guarantee knowledge transfer at the highest level.
Intriguing lecture titles abound, such as How intelligent are ‘intelligent’ hearing aids? An update (Dr. Martin Kinkel, Burgwedel); Understanding and addressing hearing loss stigma in context of larger cultural factors (Andrew Bellavia M. A., Illinois, USA); How to assess the cognitive status of people with hearing loss? (Prof. Dr. Josef Kessler, Cologne); and Noise reduction with AI: Just marketing or a real benefit for the hearing aid user? (Dr. Matthias Latzel, Stäfa, Switzerland)
Tutorials will explore key subjects too, such as, under the guidance of Hanover-based lecturer Prof. Dr. Anke Lesinski-Schiedat, 40 years of CI – how complex is it? or Navigating in an era of uncertainty: The essence of modern leadership skills in the age of skilled labour shortage, directed by Dennis Alter, Dresden.
Knowledge Symposium
The EUHA Knowledge Symposium starts on Wednesday morning, October 16 at 11:30 with Professor Torsten Dau, renowned researcher in the field of auditory perception from the Technical University of Denmark.
