British Academy of Audiology Annual Conference 2022 open for registration

Key sessions

A packed programme of scientific presentations will include; setting hearing aids for adults, outcome measures, cognition and hearing loss, paediatric assessment and early access to sound, paediatric tinnitus management, vestibular assessment and management and non-vestibular sources of dizziness, criteria and outcomes of BCI and MEI devices, and dementia and cognition keynotes. There is also a session on Auditory Processing Disorder, due to popular demand, and more information on service innovations as audiology professionals continue to evolve their services.

 

Speaker highlights

Among enticing presentations by renowned speakers, Dr. Sergi Costafreda Gonzalez, Associate Professor, Mental Health of Older Adults, Division of Psychiatry, UCL, and consultant at the Camden & Islington Foundation Trust, will be delivering the Adrian Davis lecture on “Hearing loss and cognition. From epidemiology to clinical trials”. The Bamford lecture will be presented by Dr. Paul Johns, Consultant Neuropathologist and Reader in Clinical Neuroanatomy, St George’s University Hospitals, NHS Foundation Trust and St George’s, University of London: “Neuroscience of hearing and language: The importance of early access to sound”. Other Keynote speakers include; Professor Sophie Scott CBE, Dr. Zara Jay, and Professor Iracema Leroi.

 

Abstracts

Free paper and poster presentations form an integral part of the conference and are a way for those working within the audiology field to share best practice, research and network with colleagues.

Each year, the BAA Annual Conference s those individuals and teams who have excelled or shown exceptional commitment to the Audiology profession over the past year.
