ReSound wins BIG in industry awards

The BIG Innovation Awards recognise "organizations and people who bring new ideas to life", and GN Hearing is listed by the BIG along with 99 other company and product winners from a very wide range of sectors. Among other promotional benefits in the prize package, there is a trophy, a logo for royalty-free use, and recognition extended by BIG to over 30,000 affiliated executives.

ReSound is recognised for its landmark creation of the world’s first hearing aids capable of directly streaming audio with Bluetooth Low Energy from millions of smartphones and devices running on the Android operating system. With 75% of the world’s mobile users relying on Android phones and devices, ReSound’s innovation has improved access to technology for people with hearing loss, boosting their quality of life and making it easier to connect with others.

“We are incredibly proud to be recognised for our innovation by the BIG Innovation Awards. At ReSound, we want people with hearing loss to live their lives to the fullest and feel confident. We’re relentlessly striving to drive innovation forward by developing new solutions that benefit people around the world,” said Christina Molt-Wengel, Senior Vice President of Global Marketing at GN Hearing.

“Innovation has become a major theme for organisations across virtually all industries and this year’s winners are a testament to the creativity, passion and perseverance of individuals worldwide,” said Maria Jimenez, chief operating officer of the Business Intelligence Group. “We are thrilled to be honouring ReSound as they are leading by example and making real progress on improving the daily lives of so many.”

The Business Intelligence Group was set up in 2012. The BIG Innovation Awards has been running since 2014. Winners must first be nominated, then voted by judges who are business leaders, "not editors or writers with limited business experience", says BIG.
